Soldiers Withdrew from Maiduguri Over colleague Killing

Soldiers of the Seventh Infantry Division of the Nigerian Army, Maiduguri, on Wednesday withdraw their alert action in the state capital and  protested what was described the continuing killing of troops in the mission area by insurgents due to deceit and betrayal.
From the Investigations briefing that several soldiers were killed when some troops of the 17th Infantry Division were ambush at a community called Muleh in Jere Local Government Area of Borno State on Tuesday.
Muleh, which is said to be located along the Maiduguri-Biu Road.
The angry soldiers almost went wild when the General Officer Commanding the Division, Maj-Gen Abubakar Mohammed, attempted to address them A security source said that
The angry soldiers were said to have shot repeatedly into the air which made several of their calmer colleagues to run for cover.
It was learnt that the enraged soldiers attempted to attack the official vehicle of the GOC who was quickly ferried out of the Maimalari Barracks headquarters of the Division.
