Your Life Within "Marcus Bach"

You are a distinctive and individual expression of a Creative Force. You are not a blueprint or a carbon copy or a ditto of anyone past, present, or future. You are you and there is no one quite like you in the world.  You don't look exactly like anyone else, you don't live exactly like anyone else. There are things you can do better than anyone else can do them, and there are qualities and talents that no one else can possess in exactly the same way that you do. There are thoughts that are your own special revelation. That which makes you YOU is personal, unique, and exclusive. All of this is a reflection of a world and a life within.  Talk about how to be a success! The successful person is simply the one who does his or her best with the things he or she can do better than anyone else.  Talk about living well! Who lives better that the ones who are true to their own inner light?  Talk about being interesting! What is more interesting than the person who is bein

5 Tips To Make You Become More Positive

Image
History has shown that those with an optimistic outlook on life are the ones who usually find the most success.  For me, changing my negative mental attitude to a positive one resulted in a completely different lifestyle, both personally and professionally. When I changed my mindset and increased my positivity, I went from multiple failed startups and a depressed state to starting a successful app business and being featured in Entrepreneur Magazine. Here are five tips that have helped me release my negative mentality and become more positive:   Express gratitude .     One of the easiest ways to increase your positivity is to express gratitude. Being thankful for what you currently have immediately releases any negativity that you might be holding onto. Gratitude instantly puts you in touch with the feeling of love. Where love resides, fear and all other negative emotions cannot.  The best and most effective way to implement gratitude in your life is to express it every morni

Mikel if fight for his career

Image
Out-of-favour Chelsea midfielder Mikel Obi has held showdown talks with Blues manager Antonio Conte after being frozen out of the team by the Italian. The Nigeria captain has yet to play a single Premier League match for the Stamford Bridge side since the beginning of the season. Mikel revealed on Monday that he had been working hard to play his way back into the team. “Fighting every day for my place, like all the guys are. Focus, work hard,” the 2013 Europa League winner wrote on Twitter. Former Italy manager Conte is allegedly not happy with the 29-year-old for opting to represent Nigeria at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, where he helped the national Under-23 team win bronze (Nigeria’s only medal at the competition). Mikel, who was signed from Norwegian side Lyn Oslo by the then manager of Chelsea Jose Mourinho in 2016, has however turned in a pair of impressive performances for the Super Eagles, guiding them to a 1-0 victory over Tanzania in their 2017

“We can’t find the 83 missing soldiers sir” Buratai to President

Image
A close aide to Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai the Chief of Army Staff has spoken to LeadersNG about the briefing of President Muhammadu Buhari by the COAS about 83 missing Nigerian soldiers and a commanding officer after Boko Haram Islamic extremists attacked a remote base in northeastern Nigeria. The Chief of Army Staff briefed a furious president Buhari on how Boko Haram over-powered soldiers because of the element of surprise. The president was so angry that he has given the COAS 1 week to get all the missing soldiers back. LeadersNG gathered from soldiers in MAIDUGURI that personnel were unable to fight back because they were poorly equipped. Army spokesman Col. Sani Kukasheka Usman said last week that some soldiers were missing but did not give figures and 13 were wounded when the insurgents on Oct. 17 attacked their base in Gashigar village, on the border with Niger. Usman till now has not responded to requests for comment about the actual number. You will recal

Hold FG responsible if herdsmen attack Ekiti – Fayose

Image
Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has indicted the Federal Government for not condemning the threat issued by the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria against the state. MACBAN, the umbrella body of herdsmen in Nigeria, had on Saturday threatened to wage war against the state for enacting grazing law restricting movement of cattle in the state. MACBAN also alleged that four cattle belonging to its member were killed by the newly inaugurated Ekiti Grazing Enforcement Marshal. But Fayose at a press briefing in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday said five cattle that were arrested last week were being kept in the government ranch and their owners could take them back as soon as the necessary fines were paid. The governor, who cautioned that the federal government’s silence must have emboldened the herdsmen, warned that his government would not sit back and watch while the lives of his people were in danger. He urged his people to be prepared to defend their land against the he

Six reporters over Princess Kate’s topless photos

Image
Six reporters, photographers and media chiefs are to be tried in France for invasion of privacy over topless photos of Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge published in 2012, judicial sources said Tuesday. The snaps of Kate, the wife of Prince William, were taken with a long lens and showed her topless on a balcony of a private residence in the south of France during a holiday with her husband. The photos first appeared in French celebrity magazine, Closer, in September 2012, sparking fury from the British royal family and reviving a debate on press intrusion into the private lives of celebrities. Closer‘s chief editor, the head of the Mondadori press group which owns the magazine, two photographers of a Parisian agency and a photographer and a senior figure at regional daily La Provence will now have to answer in court over the publication of the intimate photos, under a July magistrate’s order. The pictures in question first appeared on the front page of the regional daily in s

A CONVERSATION TO DISCUSS SOME OF THE ISSUES RELATING TO THE PROMOTION OF YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP” AT THE OXFORD UNION 24TH OCTOBER 2016.

1.It is my pleasure and a great honour to be in the hallowed chambers of the Oxford University, one of the world’s most prestigious universities, not just to speak, but to exchange ideas and answer questions from you, some of the world’s most brilliant youths and future leaders.  2. It is instructive to note that since 1823, the Oxford Union has consistently presented this platform for scholarly and social congregation of the student population, the interchange of ideas, propagation of views in the enhancement of knowledge, and for the overall good of mankind.  3. This is highly commendable. 4. This discussion is topical for our global search for development and security. The issue of youth entrepreneurship in Africa is very critical, as Africa is the only continent in which we will witness a population boom in our lifetime.  5. Studies reveal the symbiotic relationship between youth unemployment and youth restiveness. Accordingly, m

Ambassadorial nominees: APC governors protest to Buhari

Image
Governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress on Monday protested against alleged lopsidedness in the appointments so far made by President Muhammadu Buhari, especially the ambassadorial nominees who were named last week. This was one of the issues raised by the governors at a meeting they had with Buhari behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The Plateau State Governor, Mr. Simon Lalung, confirmed this to State House correspondents at the end of the meeting. Lalung said the President had asked that state governors who have complaints should put them in writing while promising to look into them. “Part of the issue we also raised was on some of the appointments that were made. So all the states that had complaints are going to put it in writing and the President promised he is going to look into it,” he said. Specifically on the ambassadorial nominee from his state, Paulen Tallen, who has rejected her nomination, Lalung said the rejection wa

I still haven’t done 100 movies in my 32 years of acting –RMD

Image
Those who started acting few years ago have been able to boast of having featured in not less than 100 movies but veteran actor, Richard Mofe Damijo said he has yet to clock that number in his 32 years as an actor. “I have not achieved half of what I want to; I still hope to do better films. The roles are never finished and in spite of all you think I have done, I have not featured in up to 100 movies. I have been in this profession for about 32 years but I still have not done up to 100 movies. Actors do not retire; we keep working until we drop. I am not tilting towards modelling; I only made a joke on my Instagram page. As an actor, you are a model anyway.” And while chatting with Saturday Beats, the actor also talked about his health which got a lot of people talking some time ago with some people claiming the actor was down with a terminal disease. But RMD said it was his choice to have such looks as he wanted to shed off some weight for a movie he was shooting then. Ta

Would Ondo people want Jimoh Ibrahim as governor?

Image
BY JULIUS ADESEGUN I was recently amazed to read in one of the national dailies that the Igbotako, Ondo State-born Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim is aspiring to become the governor of the state. For those who now Jimoh Ibrahim very well, they are quick to explain off his personality as a great teacher of the letters. However, his genre in the realm of tutelage, they can swear by Jove, falls within the inglorious category of those who believe in ‘Do what I say but don’t do what I do.’ When simplified, it translates to mean that Jimoh Ibrahim does not lead by example. To justify this assertion, a cursory look at one of the fantastic books Jimoh uses to lecture his members of staff in the early hours of every Monday at the Marina, Lagos corporate head-office of his Globafleet conglomerate, is needful. That book is ‘Loyalty Rules!’ written by world-acclaimed expert on management, Frederick Reichheld. That book elucidates on the seamless relationship between the employer and his employees, s

Full Text Of Aisha Buhari's Interview With BBC Hausa

Firstly, it was people that brought the government into power. More than half of those people are not appointed into the

You Belong to the kitchen Buhari replies Aisha Warning

President Muhammadu Buhari has responded to the BBC interview with his wife, Aisha, where she questioned his leadership. The President is on a state visit to Germany, from where he had reacted to the interview during a joint press briefing with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. The Associated Press reports that he laughed it off and said: “I don’t know which party my wife belongs to, but she belongs to my kitchen and my living room and the other room.” He also said that he had much more political experience, AP reports. Aisha, in an interview with the BBC, had said that the president did not know most of the top officials he had appointed. She said: “The President does not know 45 out of 50, for example, of the people he appointed and I don’t know them either, despite being his wife of 27 years. “Some people are sitting down in their homes folding their arms, only for them to be called to come and head an agency or a ministerial position.” In the BBC interview, the First Lady

Jegede promises redress for poorly graded royal fathers

Image
The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo State, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede (SAN) has promised to look into the agitations of some traditional rulers in the state, regarding poor grading. Some Grade D royal fathers known as Olu or Baale have written series of petitions, calling for a review of their status. But Jegede on Thursday gave an assurance that justice would be metted out over the discontent, calling on the traditional rulers to sensitise their people on the need to vote for continuity, come November 26. He spoke at Igunsin, a community in Akure North Local Government area of Ondo State during the official inauguration of a modern borehole in the community. Jegede, who was represented by a group of PDP leaders, led by Hon. Adedayo Omolafe, popularly known as ‘Expensive’,    also told the people of Igunsin not to have any doubt concerning the construction of roads leading to the town and adjourning communities. Earlier, the Olu of Igunsin, Oba Wi

On Jegede and his perfect match

BY KAYODE FASUA Casting a furtive look at the kind of didactic forum of teachers in their thousands, this politician with the trademark cap of All Progressives Congress, APC, was crest-fallen. He was particularly awed by the overwhelming reception that teachers in Owo, Ondo State, had given Mr. Eyitayo Jegede (SAN), the governorship candidate of the rival Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Markedly, Owo is the hometown of the APC governorship contestant, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), a gladiator who is still to pull a quarter of crowd witnessed on the day the Owo teachers honoured Jegede. When given a close call, this distraught, lonely politician was heard jabbering at first, before he eventually managed to utter the words, “So this is the way things are going…I guess I will soon cross over to this Jegede party o!” Why is the inexplicable public affection for Jegede this pervasive? Why is it even crazier in Owo, the hometown of Akeredolu? Or why are markets virtuall

Bitter Kola Good For My Health

Image
BITTER kola is a popular agricultural produce available in large quantity in West Africa and it is a tree that grows in the rain forests. Bitter Kola has been identified as a potent antibiotic which could be effective in the treatment of many deceases. The fruit, seeds, nuts and bark of the plant have been used for centuries in folk medicine to treat ailments from coughs to fever. As with any other herb, you never consume Garcinia kola without first discussing its use and benefits with your physician, especially if you are currently being treated for other medical conditions or are on any medications. However, Bitter Kola is considered as an effective agricultural produce in the treatment of cough, diarrhea, tuberculosis and other bacterial infections. “When food is suspected to be contaminated by bacteria, chew bitter kola immediately after eating, it will prevent the development of any infection or poisoning.
